Attached to the Region South/West Europe, based in Gentilly near Paris, you will work on challenging technical and functional projects for our Customer accounts in France and in the neighboring countries.

You will integrate with a dynamic and experienced team, and you will work in an autonomous way, being in charge of the entire mission for our customer. You will start with studying the customer's technical and functional needs, and do the functional specification. You will then ensure the implementation of the solution by setting up and configuring Augeo, integrating the solution and perform training. You are good at proposing solutions, you know how to handle consultancy missions, taking the necessary decisions to meet our commitments in terms of cost, schedule and quality.


Pre-sales activities :

·     Technical and functional demonstrations of our company's products to customers and prospects
·     Analysis of customer's and prospect's requirements in order to be compliant with their demands
·     product presentation/demo during events (seminars, workshops, open houses, ..)

Consulting activities : 
·     Analysis of customer requirements and writing of functional and technical specifications.
·     Internal or External customer training (users, administrators, data model …)
·     On-Site implementations of solutions (Installations, configuration, custom development, testing, rollout…) respecting our company methodology.
·     Documentation of functional and technical projects.
·     Writing « Best practices ».
·     Updating customer databases and customer files


Candidate Profile
·    Education 'BAC+4/5' in computer science
·    Mastery of J2EE environment and SQL language (Oracle, SQL server)
·    Knowledge of Business Intelligence products (BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports, Qlikview)
·    Written and Spoken English essential
·    Possibility of business travel in France and neighboring countries

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a technical Support Engineer for our French office. 

This is an exciting and broad role where you will help our customers getting the best value out of our products. The position is based in Gentilly near Paris in France.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support (2nd and 3rd level)
·    Receive and acknowledge and classify/prioritize support calls
·    Investigate support calls, run queries on the customer databases
·    Install test environments to reproduce bugs
·    Write small scripts to fix data problems
·    File bug reports and enhancement requests and follow-up on them with R&D
·    Participate in testing patches
·    Send fixes (patches, service packs) to customers and eventually help them to install them
·    Ensure communication between customers, consultants, R&D
·    Make our Knowledge base grow to ensure efficiency (FAQs, etc)

Qualifications and Skills
·    Acute sense of customer service, proactive, business aware and able to take on a high-level of responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction
·    Good understanding / previous experience with Project management / Resource management systems and tools
·    Enthusiastic, extrovert personality with excellent communication skills

Web 2.0 Hosted Application Support Engineer | Boulogne Billancourt, France

We are looking for a team player with a strong technical background in systems and database administration that can help us build and launch a new Web 2.0 enterprise application. 
We work on a LAMP platform using Agile (Scrum) methodology. The work environment is fast-paced and suited to engineers who enjoy working with a responsive and highly productive new product development team.  The work language is English.  This product team is located in Boulogne-Billancourt (just outside Paris, France). 

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of the Hosted Application Support Engineer is to build, monitor and test the infrastructure of our hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment. You will ensure maximum uptime of the hosted environment which includes production, staging, testing and development segments. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring the hardware is configured properly; is secure; is networked properly; is backed up per company standards; is monitored accordingly; and is tested to ensure operability.

  • Responsible for LAMP system administration tasks in production, staging, QA and development environments
  • Maintain DNS/Email/Backup services for a hosted application
  • Constantly build tools and scripts to automate the installation and trouble shooting of the systems. Maintain multi-lingual Web sites on Linux servers running Apache, Typo3, and PHP
  • Monitor and efficiently apply trouble shooting techniques to identify root cause for hardware and software related issues on any hosted system.
  • Develop, collect, and analyze system performance metrics on a SaaS application
  • Assist in developing performance tests for a SOA architected J2EE-based application using some of the latest Ajax technology.   


Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented creative problem solver who can be effective in a small team environment while working autonomously at delivering high quality results.

  • Strong TCP/IP and network engineering knowledge
  • Self-starter able to proactively resolve issues and move project ahead with minimal input from manager.

Experience

  • Preferred experience with Nagios, Cacti, and SNMP

          •    Routers, switches & load balancers
          •    MySQL administration
          •    Set-up and trouble shooting server class hardware

  • Specific experience with Software-as-a-Service applications, stress and load testing are a plus

The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented creative problem solver who can be effective in a small team environment while working autonomously at delivering high quality code. We work on a LAMP platform using agile (Scrum) methodology. The work environment is fast-paced and suited to engineers who enjoy working with a highly productive new product development team. The work language is English.  This product team is located in Boulogne-Billancourt (just outside Paris, France).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement a variety of project collaboration features including a project planning system, HTML based email notifications, project reports, RSS feeds and discussion forums
  • Research and integrate a variety of Ajax-based components to support new feature/functionality
  • Implement an Ajax-based application that is focused on ease of use and fast performance   
  • Develop unit tests and execute a unit test of programs against design specifications along with performing integration testing to detect discrepancies, problems and weaknesses within the system.
  • Work directly with the Augeo specifications and marketing teams on refining product requirements and translating them into working functionality


Qualifications and Skills

  • Solid background in Java, object-oriented development, design patterns
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Hibernate or JDO
  • 2-3 years of experience in Web Infrastructure & J2EE application development, using JSF, JSP, EJB, Java Servlet, JDBC, Java Message Service
  • Technical expertise in support of Web Infrastructure and J2EE Application Servers including JBOSS, WebLogic, MySQL

  • Develop AJAX and JavaScript components for the application
  • Implement detailed UI design and functional specifications in web pages using HTML, DHTML, AJAX and JavaScript
  • Create high quality, professional Java Server Faces (JSF) Web pages enforcing site design and editorial guidelines including content/graphics optimization
  • Create and maintain a series of Cascading Style Sheets that represent a Web 2.0 look and feel
  • Work as a liaison with an external design team to help shape and tune the application's general look and feel as more features and functions are added
