Attached to the Region South/West Europe, based in Gentilly near Paris, you will work on challenging technical and functional projects for our Customer accounts in France and in the neighboring countries.

You will integrate with a dynamic and experienced team, and you will work in an autonomous way, being in charge of the entire mission for our customer. You will start with studying the customer's technical and functional needs, and do the functional specification. You will then ensure the implementation of the solution by setting up and configuring Augeo, integrating the solution and perform training. You are good at proposing solutions, you know how to handle consultancy missions, taking the necessary decisions to meet our commitments in terms of cost, schedule and quality.


Pre-sales activities :

·     Technical and functional demonstrations of our company's products to customers and prospects

Overview

This is an exciting and broad role where you will help our customers getting the best value out of our products. The position is based in Gentilly near Paris in France.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support (2nd and 3rd level)
·    Receive and acknowledge and classify/prioritize support calls
·    Investigate support calls, run queries on the customer databases
·    Install test environments to reproduce bugs
·    Write small scripts to fix data problems
·    File bug reports and enhancement requests and follow-up on them with R&D
·    Participate in testing patches

Augeo6 will soon be available !


The staff of Augeo Software is very proud to announce the release of the new major version, Augeo6 before the end of the year. As the current release Augeo5, the new version is a very powerful tool with a large set of functionalities, highly configurable to meet your company's needs.

During the last couple of weeks a beta version of Augeo6 has already been presented to a circle of customers in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, and has been welcomed with great enthousiasm.

The major improvements of this new version are :

  • Brand new modernized GUI

The new GUI has been simplified, modernized and standardized, it provides more information at first sight, is highly configurable and intuitive, which will shorten the learning process considerably. A more pleasant handling will ensure user acceptancy.

  • Simplified User Interface by the management of User Contexts

Augeo has made an effort to organize information based on the user's profile, so that the user only sees options and menues that are interesting in the context that he/she is in. 6 default user contexts are provided when shipping, and more can be added by configuration.

  • Java Rich client Architecture for easier deployment

The heavy client architecture for the Project planning and administration part has been abandoned, Augeo6 is now installed on the web server, simplyfying the deployment of the application and making sure that every user has the most recent version. Using Java Web Start Technology, after a simple click the temporary files are downloaded on the user's pc.

  • Built-In Click-and-Go Reporting Tool (Qlikview)

After surveying our customers about the most popular standard reports of Augeo5, we have built a set of built-in Qlikview Reports that will probably meet most of your reporting needs. Users can now take a standard Qlikview report, and by simple clicking change the parameters (project, resource or timeline selection), filter their report by criteria, drill down, or consolidate. Once happy with their report setup, users can save their favorite set of reports as bookmarks and share them with their colleagues. With one click the report can be exported to Excel or printed.

  • Improvement of our Portfolio Module

Within Qlickview we have added reports to do your capacity planning, portfolio analysis, and arbitrage based on your Budget and Resource capacities.

Augeo5 V5.4 Service Pack 1 is now available


Dear Augeo customer,

We are pleased to inform you that our first Service Pack for Augeo Version 5.4 has been published.
Our Augeo 5.4 product launch is going very well, with many new and existing customers moving on to the new product and planning upgrades over the coming weeks. Our new 5.4 customer sites will be able to take advantage of the enhancements in milestones and requirements as well as the improvements in forms.

This Service Pack Release contains many fixes and enhancements (112 fixes, 51 enhancements, which are linked to 106 customer requests).

In this release we have added a lot of platforms to the Supported Platforms list:
-Windows 2008 SP2 (32 bit) on the Augeo Client
-Microsoft SQL Server 2008
-Internet Explorer 8.0
-Firefox 3.5
-Tomcat 6.0

Migration of Augeo Central Reports
The Built-in Standard Augeo Central reports (e.g. financial reports) have been transferred to MyAugeo, which means that we are no longer limited by the components (dlls, etc.) installed on the Client PC. Just push the 'Open Report' Button in Augeo Central and a MyAugeo connection will be established and the report will be displayed within MyAugeo.

Enhancements in Forms
The enhancements in Forms that have been introduced in 5.4.0 have been extended and improved even more, opening the way for our consultants or our more advised functional administrators to develop very interesting Reports and MyAugeo Forms that fit your needs more than ever before.
We will be able to provide nested forms, combining Table views and Card views, new field types like periods and durations make it easier to display this kind of information without complicated transformations. Aggregate functions like sums or minimum or maximum values can be easily added to a report. Fields within one form can be dynamically linked and be in interaction (e.g. making the content of a list depend on the value selected in another field in the form). Action buttons allow the launch of a stored procedure from within a report.

Augeo Software launches Augeo 5.4


Augeo lauches today a new version of Augeo 5. This version reaches many new features and engancement:

- Re-design of the milestones: in order to add a functional behavior in the planning engine instead of a simple info. The milestones now have a strong functional meaning: no allocation, no requirement, no assignment, no timesheet, and no children on a milestone. The progress of a milestone has also been enhanced.
- Management of requirements: a new status has been added to the requirements. When a requirement uses this status, when it is allocated, the workload on the requirement is progressively used when the requirement is allocated and the workload can be re-estimated at a later time.

- New Forms management:

The first main enhancement is allowing mapping of a form to a database table. In 5.3, all form values are stored in a single table. In 5.4, a form can be mapped on a specific database table that is dynamically generated to match the form configuration. The generic storage method is kept for backward compatibility and it is still completely supported in version 5.4.
The second main enhancement is allowing 1 level of nested forms so a main form can contain nested forms for forms stored in specific tables.
The third main enhancement is adding TABLE forms as a nested form in a main form. The user can then manipulate tables as is in the PFU with the additional power from the forms. In addition, a summary line is configurable for such a form.

- Demand Management: The Work Request Management module has been renamed into the Demand Management module. The module enhancement mainly comes from the enhancement in the forms (new types, tables…).

Web 2.0 Hosted Application Support Engineer | Boulogne Billancourt, France

We are looking for a team player with a strong technical background in systems and database administration that can help us build and launch a new Web 2.0 enterprise application. 
We work on a LAMP platform using Agile (Scrum) methodology. The work environment is fast-paced and suited to engineers who enjoy working with a responsive and highly productive new product development team.  The work language is English.  This product team is located in Boulogne-Billancourt (just outside Paris, France). 

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of the Hosted Application Support Engineer is to build, monitor and test the infrastructure of our hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment. You will ensure maximum uptime of the hosted environment which includes production, staging, testing and development segments. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring the hardware is configured properly; is secure; is networked properly; is backed up per company standards; is monitored accordingly; and is tested to ensure operability.

  • Responsible for LAMP system administration tasks in production, staging, QA and development environments
  • Maintain DNS/Email/Backup services for a hosted application
  • Constantly build tools and scripts to automate the installation and trouble shooting of the systems. Maintain multi-lingual Web sites on Linux servers running Apache, Typo3, and PHP
  • Monitor and efficiently apply trouble shooting techniques to identify root cause for hardware and software related issues on any hosted system.
  • Develop, collect, and analyze system performance metrics on a SaaS application
  • Assist in developing performance tests for a SOA architected J2EE-based application using some of the latest Ajax technology.   


Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented creative problem solver who can be effective in a small team environment while working autonomously at delivering high quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement a variety of project collaboration features including a project planning system, HTML based email notifications, project reports, RSS feeds and discussion forums
  • Research and integrate a variety of Ajax-based components to support new feature/functionality
  • Implement an Ajax-based application that is focused on ease of use and fast performance   
  • Develop unit tests and execute a unit test of programs against design specifications along with performing integration testing to detect discrepancies, problems and weaknesses within the system.

Overview

Augeo Software is a leading European Project and Portfolio Management software vendor serving the needs of large enterprise customers. As part of our growth strategy, we are developing an innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Web 2.0 collaborative project management software platform targeted at enterprise users.  We are seeking an experienced Web 2.0 engineer with Ajax/CSS experience to work on the application User Interface. 

The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented creative problem solver who can be effective in a small team environment while working autonomously at delivering high quality code. We work on a LAMP platform using agile (Scrum) methodology. The work environment is fast-paced and suited to engineers who enjoy working with a highly productive new product development team. The work language is English.  This product team is located in Boulogne-Billancourt (just outside Paris, France). 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop AJAX and JavaScript components for the application
  • Implement detailed UI design and functional specifications in web pages using HTML, DHTML, AJAX and JavaScript
  • Create high quality, professional Java Server Faces (JSF) Web pages enforcing site design and editorial guidelines including content/graphics optimization
  • Create and maintain a series of Cascading Style Sheets that represent a Web 2.0 look and feel
  • Work as a liaison with an external design team to help shape and tune the application's general look and feel as more features and functions are added

Qualifications and Skills

  • Skilled at using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and especially AJAX in Web applications
  • Excellent knowledge of CSS usage for Web 2.0 enterprise applications
  • Good knowledge of Java programming and Service Oriented Architected products
  • Experience on the GNU/Linux platform and Web service implementation are a plus
  • Strong teamwork orientation and good interpersonal skills
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • BS in Computer Science (Bac+4/5), or related technical field is required


Experience

  • Proven experience using AJAX, DHTML and Java Script in multiple Web / Internet Software applications
  • Experience working with JSF and J2EE are a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment is a plus
